About Me

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, New Jersey
I'm a stay at home Mom and a stamping fool. My husband, the love of my life, and I have four wonderful children aged 7, 5, 2 and 6 months. I spend most of my days taking care of the kids and the house, with very little stamping time. I have only been stamping for about 1 1/2 years, but I have a real passion for it and can't wait to have more time to stamp. For now I get most of my ideas from the great people from Split Coast Stampers and some awesome blogs that I visit on a daily basis. There are so many terrific ideas out there, I just can't get enough. So please join me on my journey to find my creative side, I'm sure we'll have lots of fun along the way. Thanks for stopping by and remember to "Keep On Stampin".

Jenn's Monthly Card Swap

Hello all! Yesterday was Jenn's, friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, monthly card swap. But due to my son's temper tantrum I was not able to stay and make any cards. But all of the kind ladies that do attend were gracious enough to make my cards for me. I also heard that I missed out on some great Zuchinni Crescent Pie - what a bummer! These are days I wish my kids were all in school so I can attend things during the day by myself. I guess that will happen soon enough, so I better enjoy this time with the boys while their still young. In about 5 years I can start to enjoy some mommy time, until then I'll just have to deal with all the bumps in the road that come my way.

The following are some of the cards that were made at the swap.

My card - I used Stampin' Up! Flight of the Butterfly and Inspired By Nature stamp sets.

Laureen's card - she used Close to My Heart's Hello Friends stamp set.

Rachel's card - she used Cornish Hertiage Farms U R A Hoot stamp set.

Jenn's card - she used Stampin' Up! Under the Stars stamp set.

Tina's card - she used Stampin' Up! Just Jawing stamp set and Scary Skulls wheel.

Meg's card - she used several different punches (circle punches, scallop circle punch, round tab punch, boho blossoms punch, oval punches) and Stampin' Up! Fresh Cuts stamp set for sentiment.

Hope you enjoyed some of the swap cards, I will post some more as I get permission from the ladies to do so. Thanks for stopping by and Keep on Stampin'.

Back to School Time!

Hi fellow stampers, bloggers and friends! It's that time of year again when all the little kiddies go back to school. Should I dare say HOORAY! This year both my girls started school, Riley, 2nd grade, and Dana, in kindergarten. So that leaves me home with my 2 boys. Both of them are fairly easy, my soon to be 3 year old gives me a little trouble, nut that's minimal compared to what his older sis Dana put me through. The following is a picture of my girls as we were leaving for school.

Update: The girls 1st day at school was great. They both love their teachers and have already made some new friends. Of course, they were so happy to see all their old friends too.

Riley's 7th Birthday

Yesterday was my oldest daughter, Riley, 7th birthday and we had such a great day. Chris, my husband, took the day off from work to make it extra special for her. He also wanted to make sure she got to enjoy one of her presents, her new electric scooter. I think she was happy, what do you think?

We had some family and friends over for ice cream cake after dinner. She received so many wonderful gifts, birthday wishes and best of all - memories that will last a lifetime! For all of you that came to her party or gave a shout out by phone, Thank You so very much for making Riley's day extra special.

The following are cards that Dana, Joseph and I made for our Miss Riley. I used the Party Hearty stamp set, Dana used The Flight of the Butterfly and Joseph used Inspired by Nature and Springtime Stems. Dana and Joe's cards also used Happy Birthday sentiments from a Close To My Heart stamp set.

Dana did such a great job on her card, I only helped her a little bit - mostly just telling her where to stamp. She picked all stamps and colors. Joseph on the other hand, he didn't do very much on his own. He just told me what stamps he wanted me to use and then proceeded to hang all over me while I was trying to stamp - bumping me every time I put the stamp to the paper. I hope you enjoyed seeing the cards. Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by and Keep On Stampin'!

Ladybug Card

Hi friends! I know it's been a while since I posted anything, but I hope things change soon. Only 1 1/2 weeks till school starts, then it's just me and my boys - I can't wait!

I just received my Stampin' Up! starter kit, which included some great stamp sets- Flight of the Butterfly, Inspired By Nature, Defining Alphabet, Heard From the Heart, Party Hearty and a Snowflake wheel. Yes I said Snowflake wheel. I could have ordered any wheel but I chose that one because I already have my Christmas card designed picked out and wanted snowflakes in the background. My other Stampin' Up! order will be here on Tuesday, with several more new stamp sets - I can't wait to start using them.

I'm currently working on two different swap cards, some thank you cards and baby cards, as soon as there all complete I will post them right away. For now I'm posting a card that I made for a swap several months ago - I thinks it's sooooo cute! Let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by and "keep on stampin'".

High Point Monument

Hi friends - Glad you stopped by for a visit. Sorry there hasn't been any stamping going on. But I promise there will be soon. I just signed on as a Stampin' Up demonstrator and will soon be receiving my starter kit and my 1st order from the new Fall/Winter Catalog. I have lots of great stuff coming, I can't wait for it to get here!

The reason for the title is that my family and I took an afternoon hike at High Point State Park. At the park there is a 220-foot monument, which we climbed to the top - all 291 steps. I have to say that the kids, including Joe, did better than Chris and I. We were both sweating by the time we made it to the top. We had such a great time and now I like to share some of pictures with you - pictures are good but you have to be there to see how beautiful the scenery really is. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Thanks for stopping by and "Keep on Stampin'".

Meg's Stamping Class

Meg, my friend and Stampin' Up demonstrator held her monthly Stamp Class this past Thursday. I always love to go to classes, we always learn a new technique and make the most adorable cards/projects. This class we made a bookmark card, a birthday with a coupon in it, a word search birthday card and a little envelope gift bag. Take a look at the completed projects to see how cute they are.
Hope you enjoyed your visit. I hope to get some stamping time in soon, I have a couple of great cards lined up to do, I can't wait to share them with you. Thanks for stopping by and Keep On Stampin'.

Card Swap Cards

Hi fellow stampers and friends. Hope you all had a great weekend. I personal feel that the weekend went way to fast. I can't believe tomorrow is Monday already. Another crazy week with the kids. I'm also hoping to get some school clothes shopping done this week. Especially for my Dana, it seems that when I take her shopping for clothes or shoes, they never have her size. So I'm hoping that if we go early in August we will find everything we want/need.
My friend Jenn hosted another great card swap last week, the following are the cards I received - their all so cute. I love these swaps, I like getting new ideas from the cards I receive.
I also posted the card I made for the swap. I made it using my new Nesties - I just love them. Spellbinders just released some new ones, and of course I had to place an order for some more (I haven't even used all of the ones I have).

Enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks for stopping by and Keep On Stampin'.

- 5/8" Striped Grosgrain ribbon (this looks just like the black ribbon with the two white strips going down the middle that's in the Jersey Ribbon Originals)--riding hood red, pink pirouette, baja breeze, pacific point, kiwi kiss, tangerine tango. The stripes are white.

New Punches:
- Scalloped Edge (I've already posted samples of this on my blog)
- 1 3/4" Circle

- Scalloped Square
- Curly Label Punch Box--the punch looks like this { } on all four sides. It comes with a set of four stamps.

I got this list from Dannie's Designs, she is currently at the Convention. Check out her site if you get a chance. She always has some really great stuff.

I also heard that there was a new stamp set called "Cheers to you" - it has a martini glass, daiquiri glass, margarita glass, beer mug, and 2 wine glasses clinking together. Jen, another demo, said it was really cute. She also aid there was some new chipboard items and lots of new designer papers.

I can't wait for the new catalog, so many new (and needed) things. I can't believe how expensive this hobby can be!

Well got to go. Hope everyone enjoys their day! Thanks for stopping by and as always - Keep On Stampin'!

Super Sunny Saturday!

Hi everyone! Looks like it's going to be another great, I sure do hope the humidity stays down again. Yesterday was a beautiful day, my kids had a couple of friends over to go swimming - they all had a great time.

My oldest daughter, Riley (6), got to go to her 1st Sussex County Skyhawks game last night with one of her school friends and her family. She was so excited to go, especially because it was fireworks night. So a big "THANK YOU" shout out goes to Lisa and her family. Riley had such a great time, I hope she wasn't too much trouble for you - I know she can be a handful. Thanks Again!!

Well on to stamping stuff. I didn't get to make anything new, but I'd like to show you a baby card I made this spring. I made this card for one of our friends who had a baby girl. I ended up liking it so much, I made several "Thank You" cards (in boy colors of course) for all the great friends that threw me a wonderful "SURPRISE" (and it was) baby shower. Thanks again Laureen and Jenn, I am so lucky to have such thoughtful friends - it was such and unforgettable day. The card idea came from a blog by Lauren Meader, she has so many cute ideas - I don't know where she finds the time to create all her wonderful projects/cards.

Enjoy the rest of your day, outside of course. Summer is half over, so make the most of everyday - the cold weather will be here before you know it. Thanks for stopping by and keep on Stampin'.

TGIF - Hooray!

What a fabulous Friday, the sun is back out and the weather is not as humid - Yeah! The kids are looking forward to some pool time today, so I will not get any stamping time in today - maybe after their in bed. But I was able to get time stamp over the past few days. My friend, Laureen, came over the other day with kids. The kids watched, well they were suppose to be any way, a movie and we got a chance to stamp - of course with many interruptions. We tried our hands at making our 1st swing card. We didn't add a lot of bells and whistles to the card this time - just a cute saying from Close To My Heart stamp set.I think they came out pretty good for the short amount of time we had.

I also got some time to stamp my Card Swap card, but your have to wait til after the swap (which is Wednesday) to see it. I'm also going to a stamp class this week at Meg's house, my Stampin' Up demonstrator and great friend. We going to give some stamp sets a proper send off before they retire - I can't wait, she always has such great cards and projects for us to do. I'll make such to post them as soon as I can, you'll love her stuff as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by and Keep on Stampin'.

Belated V-Day Projects!

Hi Everyone, hope your all doing well today. I was suppose to be having some friends over today for a mini pool party . But since the forecast was calling for thunderstorms we rescheduled for next week, so maybe I can get some stamping in some time today. The baby seems to be getting on a pretty good schedule, so if all goes well with putting him done for his naps - I should have no problem getting a little mommy time. But you better cross your fingers for me, I may need some luck.

So since it seems to be forever since I stamped, I decided to put up a couple of older projects, they were both done for Valentine's day. The card was done for my husband and I also made several pop top cans in different sizes, for both my daughters teachers - here's a picture of a small one. We put homemade chocolate truffles inside the cans - they were a big hit!

Well that's all for now, enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks for stopping by and keep on Stampin'.

I'm Sad!! No Time To Stamp!

I need a break to STAMP! I have been going crazy with the kids all week - good kind of crazy. We have done so much swimming this week, you might think were all part fish. Riley has wanted to take a break from swimming but once the other two go in, she's right along with them. We have swim lessons tomorrow, so she still doesn't get a break from the water.

Hope everyones week is going well. I can't wait for the weekend, maybe I can get a chance to Stamp. Thanks for stopping by and keep on stampin'!

*All the kids got up early this morning and were in really good moods for a change. They were all lined up on the floor watching TV, so I put the Tyler in the middle and was able to get a pretty good picture of them all.*

Envelope Card and Picture Book

Happy Tuesday to you all! Hope your all doing well after the weekend. We all worked around the house this weekend, trying to get little projects finished around here. It was also my father-in-laws birthday this past Friday, so we had the Pop Pop and GK over for dinner on Saturday night. We had such a great time, the kids love to have birthday parties.

The following is a envelope card, see Dawn's Stamping Thoughts for a video tutorial. Very easy to make - just what I like. I also made a little picture book with my new bind-it-all machine. This was the 1st time using the machine/making a book, so please me gentle on me. I know the book needs/needed a few more embellishments, but I don't have a big stock on masuline embellishments - I'll need to look into getting some. As I said in my 1st posting, I have only been stamping for about a 1 1/2 years now and I'm still waiting for my creative side to start working. I HOPE IT COMES OUT SOON - I'm a very impatient person!

Well I hope you enjoyed looking. Have a great day and keep on stampin'!
**Sorry the pictures aren't the clearest - I'll try to see what's making them fuzzy.**

Another Pick A Petal Card

Well as I said yesterday, here is our other Pick a Petal (SU) card. My daughter, Riley and I did these together after we saw them on another stamping site - Chic'n Scratch to be exact. I cut the paper and she stamped, then we both put the pieces together. Great idea for a gift set. Very, very easy to make.
Thanks for checking in and keep on Stampin'.

Pick A Petal Faces

Good Morning Everyone! We going to have another hot and humid day, so try to stay cool in a pool if you can. Just a short post today.

I heard about using the Stampin' Up Pick A Petal set to to make faces a couple months ago at a Card Swap. I did make one at that time, the Hug and Kisses one, and I had just recently made the Happy Birthday Card. Both card were easy to make, and lots of fun to give.

Come back soon, I have found another card idea that can used with the Pick a Petal set. Thanks for checking in and keep on Stampin'.

Gift Card Purse

Hope everyone's holiday weekend was good. We had alot of family time this weekend, maybe too much. I'm sure my husband can't wait for Monday to come, just so he can have some time to himself.

I spent a little time this morning making these gift card purses (the black one was made a couples of weeks ago). A friends little girl is turning 3 this week, and her mom says she doesn't need anything, so I thought this would be cute for a gift card or even money. A thank you goes out to http://jackietopa.typepad.com/addicted_to_stamping/ for her great tutorial on this project.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Thanks for checking in and keep on Stampin'.

New to Blogging, 1st Blog Ever!!!

Hi all you fellow stampers and friends, this is my very 1st blog. So please bear with me as I try to figure out what I am doing. My 1st post will be a projects that I worked on with three of my children. We stamped on canvas bag - they turned out great and the kids love them. I got the idea from stamping class that my friend Jenn, a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, was having. Check out her new blog at http://jennsescape.blogspot.com/. She will be posting new ideas very soon.

On the canvas bag, we used several different stamp sets and colors. As I get a better understanding of blogging, I will be able to give you the exact recipe for all projects.

Thanks for checking in and keep on Stampin'!

**For Friends and Family: Check out the picture in my header, you can just barely make out Riley and Dana, running down the pier and Chris to the far left on the pier.**
